

The Challenge
The challenge was to create a system that could flex across cities while maintaining a cohesive presence. Each event needed to feel rooted in its city while still contributing to a broader, unified brand experience. Starting with Perth and Melbourne, the goal was to design a visual identity that felt conference-caliber, without losing the energy and accessibility that made Build Better successful in the first place.






Our Approach
We started by developing a consistent “Build Better” mark to anchor the identity, followed by layering in city-specific elements via photography, color accents, and graphic treatments to bring each location to life. The result is a brand that feels both unified and dynamic and is capable of scaling across dozens of cities without losing its integrity. The relationship to Assignar’s primary brand was carefully considered throughout the design phase. Build Better intentionally stands confidently on its own, with Assignar positioned as the presenter—ensuring brand alignment without overpowering the event identity.

Each event can be launched efficiently, without reinventing the brand, while still feeling tailored and relevant to its audience. Most importantly, the work helped transform Build Better from a set of individual events into a recognizable, flagship experience—one that strengthens Assignar’s brand and deepens its connection with customers at every touchpoint.
